Before I graduated college, I knew that once I finished, I wanted to travel. Within the last two years, I developed significantly in my faith and the “trip” transitioned from a desire to see Europe into a need to listen to the Lord’s calling. I had seen my older sister go on multiple missions trips while she was in college. Every time she came back, the Lord had transformed her heart in unimaginable ways. I had not been very secure in my faith at the time but I knew that one day I wanted that for myself. Today I am confident and focused on the Lord and what He has in store for me. I’ve had my share of highs and lows but He built my foundation on stone and every time I’ve come out on the other end closer with Him. I think this trip will be the next step to show me what laying down your life for Him truly looks like and I’m excited to learn.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”

Philippians 3:13-14

In the last couple years I have grown significantly in my faith. I moved to Gunnison, CO and while going through some hardships, the Lord persisted and called me closer into His arms through it all. I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science but before I get started in my career, I felt the Lord calling me out of my comfort zone for a period of time. I felt like it was time for me to learn what life was like in other places and how His love reaches people in different parts of the world. Recently I\\\'ve been learning what it looks like to live as Jesus did, serving others. Although I am new to it, I feel a sense of urgency and purpose for serving those around me. I think through this trip, Jesus will show me what it truly means to sacrifice for others and I\\\'m excited to open my mind and heart to whatever the Lord has in store. 1 Corinthians 9:19 \\\"For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all that I might win more of them.\\\"
